Purdy is a beautiful lady who will melt your heart with just one look. She is loving and sweet and she is dreaming of a family that will cherish her for the rest of her life. Purdy is tender hearted and bonds strongly with her people...she loves to be loved! If you are looking for a loyal companion who will be your best friend then Purdy is the one for you! Purdy enjoys the comforts of home more than she enjoys going on adventures. She is a true homebody. Purdy will need a securely fenced property so that her nose doesn't take her on adventures.

Purdy has impeccable house manners. She is housebroken, quiet unless she feels the need to alert her people and she is great in the car. Purdy loves being part of a pack and will be happiest in a home with other calm, confident dogs that are her size. She is very respectful of the cats in her foster home and would be fine in a home with them. Purdy is a friend to everyone and is very gentle with children. Just give Purdy a comfy bed...or sofa...and she will rest until it's time for her next hug.

Purdy recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. She also had surgery to remove excessive skin around her eyes. The excessive skin was causing vision impairment which has since improved with medicated eye ointment that she will need lifelong. This surgery included bilateral entropian repair which was needed to prevent the eyelids from rolling inward causing irritation from the eyelashes. Purdy has recovered nicely from her surgery. She will need eye drops for the rest of her life. The approximate value for the drops is approximately $125.00 every two months. Purdy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. She is 8 years old and weighs 78 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA.
