DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Tigger! Tigger came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Scott County, Virginia along with his brother, Paddington. He has landed a wonderful foster home but what Tigger really wants is to find his forever home. Could that be with you? Tigger is a social butterfly. He loves meeting new friends, both human and canine alike. Tigger is very smart and eager to please and learn. At his young age, he is in his prime for training and socialization too. Tigger is looking for a family that can provide him with the same unconditional love he offers. Submit an application today and change this very deserving pup's life forever!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
