Meet Punky!!

"I’m Punky, and I’m a super sweet and easygoing girl who just loves to play. I came into care with Brewster, we were both strays from up north who arrived on the same flight.

I can be a bit shy in new situations or large groups, but I’m gaining more confidence every day. I’m really smart and sensitive, you just have to say “no” in a firm tone and I get the hint if I’m doing something I shouldn’t be. I get along great with dogs, kids and cats, which are the animals that most people have I believe.

I sleep through the night in my foster mom’s room without a peep, though I did once quietly unstuff my bed a lil bit. I go into the kennel when she goes out without a fuss, I’ve even started going in there myself without being asked. I’m still young and may chew things if l get bored, but I have never had an accident indoors. I prefer to do my business in the privacy of my own yard, so a fenced yard might make the transition easier for all of us. I need a solid hour of exercise a day (but I’ll take more if I can get it) to prevent me from getting too squirrelly.

My manners are pretty good, I only jump up once in a while and am respectful of space. I’m decent on leash, I sometimes get tangled but don’t really pull. I’m learning “sit” “come” “leave it” and other basic training, I catch on quickly but am still mastering them.

Punky Fun Facts
I haven’t barked yet in foster care, though I do a bit of a play growl sometimes.

I ordered my eyes and my fur “colour matched”. It cost a bit more but I think it was worth it, don’t you?

I do a little “happy dance” when I’m excited, I choreograph it myself and it’s slightly different every time.

I have legs for days, just like a supermodel some might say.."
