Just in time for Fall, I'm pumpkin and spice and everything nice! My name is Pumpkin and I am a 1.5 year old, 40 pound beautiful hound/Jack Russell Terrier mix with lots of love to give. My sister and I were on the euthanasia list at a local pound, but luckily we were saved by Rescue One. I’m still working on housebreaking, crate and leash training, but I’m a sweet girl who loves people, especially kids—I get so excited whenever they’re around. I’ve always lived with my sister, and now that I’m with my foster family, I’ve realized how much I enjoy being around all dogs.

I love playing and exploring with them, so I think having a doggy sibling in my forever home would be great for me. I’m also a bit of a backyard adventurer! I love following my nose and tracking down moles or anything interesting in the yard. Because of that, I’d really like to have a fenced backyard to explore or access to a fenced area where I can safely sniff around. I have to admit, I can get a little protective of my food—it’s probably because I had to fend for myself for a while before being rescued. But with some patience and understanding, I know I can learn to feel safe at mealtime. My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
