X URGENT HELP!!! THE RIVERSIDE SHELTER IS EUTHANIZING YOUNG ADOPTABLE DOGS AT AN ALARMING RATE AND WE DO NOT WANT THIS FRIENDLY PUPPY TO BECOME ANOTHER STATISTIC LIKE THE OTHERS!
HANDSOME 'PUMPKIN' HAS BEEN WAITING SINCE 8/2, BUT HIS TIME MAY RUN OUT ANYTIME WITHOUT WARNING SINCE THE SHELTER IS SO FULL. WHILE HE'S ADOPTABLE, WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR A FOSTER SO A RESCUE WE KNOW CAN SAVE HIM IN TIME.
Help!! WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LOVING AND RESPONSIBLE HOME OR FOSTER FOR PUMPKIN as we have named him.
He is listed as a 10 month old shepherd mix who weighs 63 lbs and may grow a bit larger. He has a beautiful fawn coat.
The shelter told us Pumpkin has no behavior or medical issues at all, and he is one of the longest residents still waiting to be saved. Pumpkin has had multiple male kennelmates and no issues with them.
Unfortunately, because the shelter is so full, though, he sadly can be euthanized for space in the next few days, or sooner if the shelter decides to red list him like they have with so many other young, adoptable dogs without warning for anything minor like a runny nose.
Or his time may just run out (since he has been there more than 30 days) and no notice may be given which is our great concern.
Therefore, if you are interested in adopting Pumpkin, please contact the shelter immediately by calling (951) 358-7387 and reference his applicable ID, or go to the shelter website and express interest using the listing link (found in comments).
Or, if you are interested just to foster, or foster to adopt, or if you need further help, please contact robinmorgan@cox.net or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap as we are trying to find foster for a rescue group who wants to save him (but needs a place for him to go). The rescue we know had already saved his kennelmate after a foster was found.
