Meet Priscilla
Priscilla came to us from a rural shelter in Georgia. Before taking two planes to come to Maryland, Priscilla had FHO surgery to help relieve the pain that kept her from using her right hind leg for quite a while. With some physical therapy ahead of her, we’re looking forward to seeing her regain use of her leg and run as fast on all four legs as she now does on just three. Priscilla the pocket pittie is 36lbs of cuteness and affection. She loves snuggling up to her human and will nudge your hand with her little head to get attention and pets. She’s a little velcro pup and is happiest close to her human, whether that’s next to your desk while working or at your feet while cooking. She’s also incredibly smart and has figured out how to open sliding barn doors!
While we're still working on crate training, she's fully housebroken, super easy to leash up and keeps close to you on walks with a loose leash. After getting to know her resident foster brother, she’s been doing very well around him even though he’s much bigger than she is, and has enjoyed being on walks with him. She also loves sniffing on her walks and will gleefully roll on grassy areas she finds especially interesting. She's easy to get in and out of the car and is a perfect passenger.
She's getting lots of attention wherever she goes, whether that’s for her cute Snoopy-like markings or because she’s so calm and well behaved. She has also turned into quite a little swimmer since going to the pool with her foster brother regularly! As prefect as she is, Priscilla can also be a little shoe thief - but no worries, she’s nicely collecting those shoes on her bed, taking good care of them. And the one thing she'll steal faster than your shoes is your heart!
