Meet Princess and Nikki!

Age is just a number to these lively 12 year old Pomeranian ladies. Princess and Nikki are seriously the sweetest little dogs - their foster family (adults and young kids) all love them so much. They love going outside in the fenced in yard and get super excited for walks and then they prance around the neighborhood like royalty. They do bark some when left alone and when they hear loud noises outside so best if they don't live in an apartment. They would love to sleep with you in the bed buried under the covers and are great with other dogs and cats, though Nikki can guard her food around other dogs (not Princess) so you would need to be diligent about watching her while eating around other dogs.

There's not one tooth between the two ladies and they need a prescription kidney diet which they love - dry Royal Canin Renal Support S (a bit pricey so check Chewy for the current rate). Nikki had a large cancerous mass removed but it has a low chance of reoccurrence and a low chance of spreading (her chest x-rays look clear).

They do currently live with two kids, ages 8 and 3. Nikki loves the eight year old and is quite obsessed with him. Princess is more of an adult fan and has snapped at the three year old a few times she has invaded Princess's personal space. The three year old has learned to leave them alone and so everyone generally gets along great. Princess is friendly with strangers but Nikki is more nervous of strangers and will bark at them. They are both very loving once they get to know you though and love to cuddle and lie on top of you if you are lounging on the couch.

They are being fostered in Millbury and the adoption fee is $200 for the pair.

NOTE: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
