Meet Prince Smokey! Such a sweet, handsome young pup! He is a 1 year old tan pittie with beautiful white fawn-like markings on his chest and paws.

He loves walks and playing with his dog sister and gets along well with the family cat .

Smokey is neutered, house trained and knows how to sit on command. He loves his cozy donut bed, chewy toys and rides in the truck. He is crate trained and he is learning to walk nicely on a leash with a gentle head lead.

Smokey gives loads of kisses and loves to curl up at your feet in the evenings with his favorite bone or dinosaur toy. If you let him, he will sit on the couch with his head in your lap all evening.

He is an energetic pup who needs regular exercise or a fenced yard to run and play. . He really enjoys his outside playtime.

Smokey is ready to find his forever family with someone who will appreciate this goofy, loving boy!

He is an energetic pup who needs a fenced-in yard to run and play. It doesn’t have to be big, but does need a fence so he can enjoy some outside time every day. Daily walls are enjoyed as well.

He has had his all initial shots and dewormer and had his follow-up this week. The veterinarian says he is less than a year old. We estimate 8-10 months.

All he needs now is a loving forever home with someone who will appreciate this goofy, loving boy!

Smokey is all about love, lots of kisses, appreciation, and welcome. He has met over 30 dogs of all ages and sizes including seniors, feisty littles, and puppies and he did exceptionally amazing. He also joined our holiday meet and greet Saturday and puppy socialization event which exposed him to so many new people and he was perfect.

Smokie joined our program after being found as a stray running our neighborhood in Indianapolis. He's one of the lucky ones as his founder cared.

Currently being fostered and actively practicing learning basic obedience as he waits for you to adopt him.

A home with another active social balance dog is best. Continued training is encouraged. Smokie is currently in the process of gaining much-needed weight and overcoming skin issues with proper care and diet. He has a huge team cheering for him and we won't disappoint. He's just too good to be true. And yes, he's been around toddlers during our event and did well.

Suggested Donation Adoption fee minimum $285

Prince Smokey is house and crate trained, current to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona, 1 or 3-year rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, heartworm & lyme diseases tested negative upon adoption, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.

Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.

Previous adopters of AHRs have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again. Donation of their choice is welcomed.

Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.
