Porter English Shepherd Mix Cashmere, WA

Porter is the best boy who is in need of a new home. Porter loves to do all things outdoors though he does not need a ton of exercise to be a relaxed wonderful companion in the house. Porter is a seasoned paddle boarder, hiker, enjoys mountain biking (up to 45 min at a time, so not really long rides). He has also been backpacking once and did great, stays in a camper unattended with no issue, and loves to go cross county skiing. Porter has pulled someone a few times while on skate skies for some ski jouring, but would need more training to be good at it. He enjoys his daily walk (30- 60 min) and playing ball in the back yard (about 20 min or so, not all day). In the evenings he loves to snuggle up on the couch with you and relax. He can be left at home all day if needed without a crate and has never ruined anything in the house. He does not like power tools. He does know basic commands like sit, stay, heal, lay down stay, and Porter Come! for recall. He loves to meet other polite dogs, but is always introduced on leash to ensure they will get along before off leash play. Porter also lived with a dog-savvy cat with no issues! Unfortunately though, Porter does not like puppies and gets overwhelmed and nippy around children. Porter would do best in a home with no children and with active adults that share his passion for the outdoors! Porter has strong opinions about what he likes and dislikes and will be a fantastic companion in the right setting. Porter is hoping to find a new family sooner rather than later!
