Meet POPPY
Mama POPPY and her three male puppies arrived at the shelter at the beginning of November 2024. POPPY is listed as a three year old Boxer/Redbone Coonhound mix. No weight was listed on her cage card, but she is a medium size dog. She is also very friendly. Staff indicated that when they go into her kennel to clean, if they kneel down, she immediately climbs on their lap. Apparently, seeing their mama in somebody’s lap draws the puppies to them, as well. So, get prepared! She apparently thinks she is a lapdog! POPPY has not yet been spayed and that must be done before she can go home with you as your own. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!
