Meet Poppy
I'm Poppy and I'm shy. I was brought up from a shelter down south and find myself at another shelter. MLAR was nice enough to take me in and will be treating me for heartworm and the volunteers are great, but I'd really like a home of my own.
I'm learning about taking walks around the property. Due to my heartworm I'm not allowed off leash to run in the fields yet but that looks like something I'd enjoy.
MLAR is paying for my treatment but I'm allowed to meet really understanding people and go home with them as a foster until I'm through my treatment. That sounds nice.
I'd do best in a more quiet home. I haven't been around many loud noises. I need someone with enough patience to show me that the world is safe. Then I'll be able to get out and enjoy more of it with you.
If you have space for me, apply today.
If you are interested in meeting any of our adoptable dogs, please fill out an application. To apply, please visit our web site: https://www.mlar.org/adoption-overview
