Poirot is:
Neutered: Yes!
Up to date on vaccines: Yes!
Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized
- Completed heartworm treatment in May 2024, and will be due for a retest in January 2025 at his adopter's expense. He will need to continue with exercise restriction until then.

More about Poirot:
Housebroken: Yes!
Crate trained: He has done well with free roam when home alone, for up to 8 hours
Leash walking: Working on it! He has shown some frustration/reactivity when he sees other dogs on walks, and can then pull and bark. He will also pull to chase rats and squirrels and cats. He will need to keep working on this!
Dog social: He has done well meeting other dogs either off leash or in an open area (like a park or lawn). He's also successfully shared a home with another dog in the past.
Cat social: He lives with a dog-savvy resident cat in his foster home and has been doing well after a slow, proper intro period. He is playful with the cat, so may do best with confident, dog-savvy cats.
Kid friendly: He has done well in interactions with kids of various ages.


Poirot likes:
- His bucking bronco playtime, where he takes the tiniest squeaky toy and tosses it around to pounce on it
- Laying by your feet to quietly keep you company
- Going on adventures and sniffing everything



Poirot is as soft as a cloud and is very sweet and gentle too. He is both chill and fun, as he loves to play and go for walks and explore. He loves to be near his people, and is an excellent WFH companion but is also just fine at home alone when you're away. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids and is overall just a gem! He would benefit from continuing to work on calm leash manners.
