We do not have a commercial facility. All dogs in MOESR's care are fostered in private homes for the pet's emotional well being and physical safety. The dogs live with a foster family until adopted. * You can meet a dog you're interested in once you've submitted an application, and by appointment only. *



Hi!


I'm Pippin! And like you, I came to PetFinder to find a new companion! I'm kind of new to personals ads, but I'll start by asking you what you like to do. You can fill our an adoption survey to let me know.


Here's just a little bit about me:


I like to go for walks - A LOT. I am happy to walk down my block, down a country road, through an outdoor art festival, up a city street - just about anywhere as long as it's with my people. I love my leash because I know that means we're going for a w-a-l-k. Yeah, they think I can't spell around here. They also think that just because it LOOKS like I'm napping that I can't hear what they're saying about me. Silly people! I wonder how they'd feel if I cut back on THEIR kibble because I thought they could lose a few extra pounds! h'rummph!! They'd be starvin' !!


Of course I'm popular where ever I go because I'm a shaggy sheepdog and that makes me attractive to anyone who likes to touch fur. I am polite when strangers pet me and my foster family asks strangers to be respectful of me too. After all, some shaggies might not be as sweet as me, right?


I like car rides a lot too. And the longer the better. I'm a little bit of a wimp getting into the car - I never had the opportunity to ride in cars before coming into rescue so the getting in part is new - but once I'm in, I make a fine back seat driver. (and sleeper, even!)


I've taken car rides to the cabin where I've also ridden on a pontoon and in faster boats where there's fishing, etc. involved and it's great fun! I always listen to the ship's captain and try to be the best deck-hand I can be whilst they are fishing. Shhhh! I don't want to be responsible for the one that got away.


I love petting, napping, and some toy shaking when you return after being away. I enjoy lounging outside while you work in the yard. I don't mind meeting other dogs and am a good boy for all my grooming needs.


I'm reliable when left alone not to chew on your shoes or your newspapers or your remote control - that's for kids ... 'er puppies. (:
