Meet PIPPI! She is a Shepherd mix that is very smart and incredibly playful, who’s ears are as big as her curiosity! She does really well in her crate or pen, plays nicely by herself and with other sweet pups, is working on her potty training, and absolutely loves her foster brother and sister!
PIPPI is a spunky little one, just like her namesake Pippi Longstocking who is working on becoming a fantastic dog and is doing a great job of following in her foster siblings footsteps. She has lots of puppy energy and loves playing with toys, exploring in the backyard, and helping her foster mom in the garden!
Since PIPPI appears to be at least part working dog, she will need a dog/puppy savvy family that is able to provide mental and physical stimulations to keep her sharp mind and and energy focused so she can grow up to be the awesome dog she is!
Puppies like PIPPI want a home that understands the world of puppies. She will only be placed in a loving home that is dedicated to work on house training, leash manners, and will introduce her to a variety of safe activities and experiences so she can be comfortable in the world.
Puppies are immunized on a strict vet recommended schedule, and PIPPI's forever family will be required, at their own expense, to complete the puppy immunization schedule, including rabies, IF placed in your home prior to the schedule being completed. Adopters are provided with current vetting records to provide to their personal vet, and we will confirm that you DO complete that vetting schedule in a timely manner, including the purchase of monthly preventatives (flea & heart worm).
For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. You can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details that are not included in this biography.
PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.
Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age-appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.
The breed and estimated age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog.
We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
