Meet Pippa
Pippilotta, or Pippa/Pippi as she’s affectionately called, is a little bundle of personality packed into a small frame. She is a 4.5yo, black, female greyhound. She is ready to find her furever home after retiring from racing. This lively girl is always excited to see you, walks well on a leash, and loves snuggling up for some cozy cuddle time. Pippi has a blast with her teddy bears, toys, and balls, spending hours in the yard tossing her toys and hunting for squeakers. She has been known to chase/obsess over a soccer ball a time or two. Her playfulness with her toys is simply endearing.
Pippi might start her walks with a bit of excitement, but she settles down nicely. She’s a great match for a family with children due to her spirited nature. She does well in her kennel and tends to be quiet.
Pippi gets along well with large breed dogs but can be overly enthusiastic around smaller to medium-sized dogs and would be best in a home without them. She’s not the best fit for a home with cats. Pippi currently lives with other greyhounds, kids, and adults, and is ready to bring her special brand of joy into a new home!
This dog is being fostered in the Des Moines Area. We do not ship dogs. Adopters must be committed to meeting the dog in the area it is being fostered.

The adoption fee for HGA is $300.00. This fee pays for medical costs including spay/neuter surgery, shots, parasite treatments, teeth cleaning, microchip and microchip registration fee. Each dog also comes with a special sighthound collar and leash set and muzzle. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee.
