I'm an older puppy ready to transplant my roots (ha, ha, like a pinon tree) to a forever home! Of course, my name refers to my coat color, which is like a pinon nut, but if you dig deeper into the roots of my name, it means "pearl" or "gem." Yes, I will be a flavorful and rich addition to your life, don't you think? My foster person says I'm gentle, respectful (including other dogs), learning to navigate the world, and not reactive to cats or road runners. As dogs go, that last item maybe makes me a bit of a "nut," but what I really want is to go nuts over you.

He's a little overwhelmed by all the commotion around him at the shelter, so he loves snuggles and personal attention. He enjoys being outside and going on walks, and he's very polite to and interested in other dogs he sees. He walked like a perfect gentleman right beside one of his doggo friends here the other day.
