Meet Pickles

Pickles is an affectionate 4 yr old, 9 lb female Yorkshire Terrier.

Pickles gets along well with other dogs her size. She loves to be petted and cuddle in your lap. Her favorite spot is on the sofa.

Pickles came to us as a “breeder” release dog which means she had never lived in a home as someone’s beloved family member and did not understand housetraining. Pickles will use a pee pad if available. She will continue to need housetraining.

She would do best in a home where there are little to no stairs both inside and into the backyard because she has yet learned how to go up and down stairs. We have not started leash training with her yet.

Pickles could be an only dog or have another dog under 10 pounds in the home (our preference).

WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The other dog in the home cannot be over 15 lbs. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, gaps no larger than 1 1/4 inches, which is attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. No exceptions.

We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business.

Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.

Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing.

Adoption Fee: $500
