And now, a few words from me:Â
I'm not sure what happened. I was living with a family but all of a sudden they dropped me off at this place with other dogs and just left me! Then a notice went out saying due to lack of space in this shelter (?) if no one took me then I would be put to sleep!  Luckily someone here at LOYAL came to my rescue. I’m alive and well and living here now in Canada. I got a warm reception from my furry hosts and now I have the freedom to play with toys and rip around the backyard. Maybe I can do this at your place????
And now, a few words from my foster mom:
It's as if Phillip lived here all this time. Most dogs when they first come are leery, cautious and timid in their new surroundings. Not Phillip! He went straight to the dog bed with all the squeaky toys and started playing with one. This boy is full of energy and gets alongreally well with all dogs. We even met a friendly Mastiff on our walks and he was ready to play with him.
He is a bit of a barker which can be curbed but apartment living is not recommended. He would require an enclosed backyard since he needs to stretch his legs and having a companion to play with would be great but not necessary. Phillip does tug on the leash while walking but he's still young and I believe an introductory obedience class will do him a world of good.
Phillip likes to cuddle when he settles down and will give lots of kisses. He has a sweet temperament and I have not seen any aggression toward me or any dogs he has met. I would think he would be good with children but will need to learn not to jump up so we are working on that. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at macmilro@hotmail.com.
In the meantime, take a look at Phillip in Action!
