Meet Petie
MEET PETIE FOSTERED IN EAST BEND NC!
We are looking for a foster to adopt family for Petie! He is all set with his vetting and needs a home that will take it slow with him. Once he is settled in he loves his belly rubs and snuggles on the sofa. Petie can be a bit crabby at times. We do not know why as he cannot tell us his past. He will growl at times when just chilling and being petted. He has not bitten anyone ... he is just basically grumpy at times. He needs a strong adoptive family that will go slow and know that he can be grumpy. If you are that special home that can give Petie time to get to know you and would like to foster to adopt. Petie is an eight-year-old, 17 pound Shih Tzu. All dogs in our rescue are considered mixed unless they come with AKC papers.
Petie is an affable little guy that takes time to warm up. He is independent and will chill on the sofa with his person. He makes the perfect companion for someone that is looking for a low-key dog.
Petie is crate trained, uses the doggie door and walks on leash. He gets along with other dogs and plays with his foster sister Pattie. He loves his little bed!
We require an adoption application, vet references and home visit prior to a meet and greet or adoption.
