Petey is an absolute lovable, goofy guy looking for a home to spoil him in his golden years. While he may be 10-years-old, Petey still has all that Boxer energy and loves to run zoomies and go on walks.

Overall Petey gets along with everyone. At 70 lbs he is a solid guy but walks extremely well on leash. He may be able to pull you over, but he walks like a true gentlemen. Petey is great with other dogs of all sizes! He does chase cats, so no cats in the home please.

This guy loves all humans but can be a little overly excited with little kids. He isn't aggressive at all but he doesn't know his own size. He is looking for a home with sturdy children who can handle some jumping when a large dog is excited.

Despite his older age, Petey is in overall good health. He has a pretty upset tummy when he first arrived but that has resolved. Petey does need a dental that will be taken care of through the shelter.

Petey is housebroken and obedient. For large dog lovers, this is your perfect new pal.

Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need.

Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
