Petey Labrador Retriever & Hound Mix Madison, WI

After a recent move to a very noisy neighborhood, Petey finds his new apartment way too loud, scary and stressful. When his mom is at work, He will bark and cry for hours for her to come home. It's with that sad realization, that Petey's mom has come to the decision that the best thing she can do is to find another family to love him and give him a safer place he so needs.

A good new home for Petey and one where he'll be happiest will be a quiet home with a fenced yard where there is someone around most of the time. Another dog would be a bonus! Petey does best with consistency, praise and a predictable schedule.

Petey loves morning cuddles, daily walks and regular visits to his favorite dog parks. He gets along well with most dogs and visiting children with good introductions and supervision. However, it's probably best that he not live with children at this time unless over the age of 10.

Petey is about three years old (2 yrs and 9mo) He is neutured, up to date on vaccinations and is Heartworm negative. He is currently taking medicine for anxiety but that may not be needed in the future with a change of living arrangements and continued training.

Pete will come with vet records, a kennel, leash, and dog food along with his current medications. His current mom says "Petey is very important to me and I just want to find someone who will feel the same way I did the moment I laid eyes on him. He is one of the sweetest, cuddly attention seeking, dogs I have ever met."
