DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Percy, a spirited and loyal companion who is looking for his forever home! Percy is an energetic and playful dog who thrives on interactive play and physical activities. His enthusiasm and zest for life make every moment with him exciting and full of energy. Percy knows the "sit," "down," "stay," and "wait" commands and is working hard on learning his "come" command. He is house trained and crate trained. He is also trained on an invisible fence, walks nicely on leash and "heels" when asked. While Percy does get along with other dogs, he does have some unique traits, including resource guarding and a rough play style. Nevertheless, he is incredibly loving and devoted. With the right guidance and consistent training, Percy will thrive and become a well-mannered and cherished member of your family. He is always eager to explore new places and make new friends, both human and canine. If you're ready to embrace his spirited personality and help him grow, Percy is ready to bring joy and adventure into your life!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
