Meet Pepper
She came to our rescue as an owner surrender. According to her old family she's good with dogs, cats and kids. Pepper is shy at first and can take some time to build trust with you but she's a wonderful companion.
She loves to go on walks and sniff her surroundings. She loves to join her foster on runs and hikes. She is not food motivated but very audio motivated, she loves positive reinforcement and affirmations. Pepper is scared of loud noises like fireworks, gunshots, etc. She will try to run if she's outside when she gets scared. We did start her on some anxiety meds in hopes that would help with her separation anxiety and her fear of loud noises.
Her ideal home would be one with a fenced yard. A family that can keep her mentally and physically stimulated. Ideally someone that works from home so she's not alone for long hours at a time. Pepper is such a sweet dog. Loves people, kids. We hope the right person is willing to open their home to her. If you are in utah we do adoption trials, Let us know if you're interested.
She's potty trained, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and will be microchipped before she's adopted. She's currently being fostered in SLC. If you'd like to schedule a meet + greet, send a message 385.244.0431 or info@goldenbarkfoundation.org
