Penny Pembroke Welsh Corgi Saratoga Springs, NY

Penny, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi born on April 30, 2021, is available for adoption. She is true to her breed. Therefore, knowledge and experience with Corgis is required. She is being rehomed through no fault of her own. Morbidly obese when arriving, time and energy have been put into helping her shed the extra pounds. Speaking of shedding, Corgis have a double coat that requires brushing, and we are working on that.

Penny’s previous home was on one floor. She is not willing to go downstairs but scales them with ease. Thank you, Colonie Center, for the elevator to get her back down to the first level. As previously mentioned, she is a Corgi, a working dog, and tends to herd, so small children are not ideal. She lives in a home with a cat, which she will chase. I have never left Penny alone with my cat for safety and feel a cat-free home would be best.

Proof of training will be required. Penny was attacked by another dog two years ago and sustained severe injuries. While the physical damage has healed, she can be reactive.
