Penny Pit Bull Terrier & Siberian Husky Mix Durango, CO

Penny gets along great with kids and other dogs. She warms up to people quickly and she is very smart. Penny loves going on walks seeing all the people. Penny's review from one of our wonderful volunteers:
"Penny was very enthusiastic to get out of the kennel. She greeted the other dogs with some barks and tail wags. She really wanted to play, but the other dogs didn't feel comfortable enough to play with her until the halfway point of our walk. At that point, all of the dogs were more relaxed, so they easily played with one another. She listened to commands when her name was called. She was very excited to be out in nature, and she was tired enough by the end of our walk that she fell asleep in the back of my car on the ride back to the shelter. She pulled a bit, especially at first when she was full of energy, but overall, she was a very well-behaved pup."
