Penny Hound Mix Prior Lake, MN

Hi, I’m Penny. I came from Alabama in a van full of other dogs. It was such a long ride and I was so nervous when I got here. It took me just a few days to get used to people and accept the pats and cuddles everyone wanted to give me. These days I’m behaving more and more like a pup, playing with my foster sibling, zooming around the yard, and playing with toys. They say I am  peppy & playful, curious & sweet.  I still get a little scared sometimes because there’s a lot I haven’t seen or experienced before. I love company and need a little  time to warm up to new noises and people.  I really want to be around people and will love you once I warm up!!   I’ve never had any accidents in the house though, and happily sleep all night in the office with my foster sibling.  I love playing outside in the snow- it one of my favorite things to do!  I can toss a toy in the snow, zoom around the fenced yard and play with the resident dog all day if I could!  Speaking of fences- I need a fenced yard- this whole leash thing is new and it is going to take some time, training and patience to get used to it. And I am the prettiest red ever- seriously gorgeous or so I have been told!!

I am a really sweet, curious and fun dog!  I will greet you with a wagging tail and will love being with you.  I might take a little time to warm up, but I know I’m going to be a wonderful pup for someone.
