**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. Peggy is a 2 year-old setter/beagle mix, and she is just the sweetest little peanut. Weighing around 25 pounds with the silkiest fur, she loves to spend her day sleeping on the couch, laying at your feet, or watching the neighborhood activity out the window. Like any dog, she’ll occasionally bark at a passing person or dog, but not all action seems worthy of her attention. We’re working on house training a little, and suspect she may have been trained with puppy pads in the past. She has been consistently going #1 outside. She likes going outside on her leash, and gets excited at all of the sights and sounds. We plan on lots of walks to get even better at it. She goes into her crate easily, and doesn’t generally bark when she’s in there. She loves meeting new people, and has done well with meeting the neighbors, kids and dogs. We’re confident she’ll make the sweetest addition to someone’s family!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $350. Dogs over 2 years old are $250. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
