Meet Peach, affectionately known as Sweet Peaches, a radiant soul estimated to be 11/12 years young, awaiting her dream forever home. She yearns for a companion present to nurture her, energize her spirit with daily walks, and shower her loving heart with tender care. Peaches is everyone-friendly.
She enjoys agility for fun, loves all children of all ages, and is very treat food motivated! Peaches is good with dogs, cats, and everyone she meets.
Peaches currently lives with cats, dogs, and rabbits indoors and happily shares her yard with visiting chickens, roosters, ducks, turkeys, and mini asshole goats. The goats really push her buttons, but she remains patient and disciplined.
Her only requirement is someone home most of the time. Ideally, another independent dog to share life with would be ideal but not a must. Lots of loving food, snuggles and cuddles, daily walks, and a fence in the yard. This girl is adventurous and loves outdoor adventures but is very happy relaxing with her human indoors. Wherever her human is, that's where she's pleased to be. If you have kids, she's the perfect girl for you. Busy life with an endless revolving door with friends and family members. Yup, she loves this too. She is a people dog. A social, outgoing, happy-go-lucky everyone-loving dog.
Unless you're going to commit to a lifetime of effort requiring hands-on DAILY EXERCISE and work. PLEASE consider ADOPTing a dog that's best compatible with your current capabilities and lifestyle. Looks should never be the only factor when adding a family pet/member to the home.
I'm not pursuing a miracle home, I'm searching for a committed, responsible, healthy, loving, preferably experienced forever home. Please do your research before applying. This is your responsibility to do so.
Peaches is house and crate-trained and walks great on and off-leash. Her recall is selective but decent. Peaches is up to date on 1 or 3 years of all age-appropriate core vaccines including lepto, and corona, as well as the rabies vaccine, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped with free lifetime registration, and unlimited updated info ability at no additional fee, spay/neutered, heartworm lyme tested negative within 6 -12 months and current on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention year round.
Peaches is still available for adoption. But I am in no rush to place her or any dog. It must be a good fit. My expectations are definite, and I'm not compromising their needs, much less their safety. However, I am always willing to discuss individual requests.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship, and a minimum of 2 meet and greet is required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter. Adoption fees are paid only upon adoption. Do not send any money. Anyone asking you, too, is not part of our organization.
Previous AHR adopters have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again. However, a donation of their choice is expected welcomed and appreciated.
Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a purity setting them up for success.
