Meet Peace Out (Pieces)

Meet Pieces, also known as Peace formally PeaceOut. She turns 3 years of age. She's been with us since she was 4 months old. Her fear of life was overwhelming and had her completely shut down. She was not the only one. It was 3 separate litters dumped on the property. They were positive for parvo and covered in ringworm. A total of 15 puppies. All but 3 made it. This exacerbated their mental health and fear even more. Pieces made it to a foster home 14 months ago. She is 1 of 3 left. All now have been adopted. Let me tell you. She is thriving and we feel she is ready. Ready for the right for her home. She is an amazing dog that needed time. She will always need time, but that needs to improve every day. Her time needed to overcome and accept new people and environmental fears is shorter each time she is exposed. So many dogs like Pieces depend on us. We have 3 years invested in her and we 100% believe there is a happy perfect for her forever home out there. Pieces recovery rehab is on her timeline. And our patience and continued effort allow her to keep at it.

Pieces need a nurturing environment with patience and no expected demand in expectations. She will blossom a trust bond and feel like she belongs if given the chance, time, and space. She also needs a home with another active, balanced energy, friendly social dog. Ideally 2. She loves the pack life. Pieces walk extraordinarily on and off-leash. Her basic obedience is on point. She is house and crate-trained. She is super crazy smart. Brain games and puzzles are accomplished and done within minutes. She is cat, dog, kid/people friendly. It just takes her a bit longer with humans. She is not destructive but has been known to have a thing for plush teddy bear toy and their eyes. Weird, yes. She enjoys removing their eyes. She will not eat them or rip any of them apart. Will not destroy them. She is also a big hunter when it comes to flying birds. ????? We do not encourage either behavior just so it is known. She catches them in the air. This simple, smart, sweet, loving girl is ready for the next chapter to start.

The pieces are just under 48 pounds. She is believed to have some pointer boxer lab working hound breeds x. Probably more. She is sweet by nature and once comfortable, outgoing, and confident in her perfect way. She is whippet smart. And can easily discover, complete, overcome, and accomplish any puzzle challenge game. Once she does that's it. Her well-balanced continued training is a must. This means walks, exposures, outings, adventures, and absolutely city life is best. Continue exposing her to sounds, smells, people, and other dogs, community is vital to her system. Someone who can take her to work is perfect. And the biggest need of all is a pack of her own. Does with a desire to be social when meeting people, as this gives Pieces confidence and the motivation to become this, too.

Piece is a smart pickle. Training just because it's fun. Pieces is house and crate-trained, walks beautifully on and off leash, and her recall is perfect once she's connected with her human. A fence in the yard is required. Pieces would make a great apartment condo townhouse dog. She a couch slug but active.
