Meet Patches

Patches, aka, Country Boy is 5 years old. His birth date is July 2018. His mother was Josie and father Fast Break. He is a half brother to Woodchuck. Update: Here is some more information on Patches. SPECIAL NEEDS: GOING BLIND
Please share. Patches currently has enough vision to memorize his way around a new home, if someone can help find his adopter NOW before he loses total vision. This has been confirmed by canine Ophthalmologist Dr Carl Budelsky. He confirmed our suspicions that someday Patches will be totally blind. Patches is boarding in Celina, Ohio. He has a FABULOUSLY friendly personality.
Patches (racing name Country Boy) – male, white with brindle spots. He is a 5-year-old field trial racing greyhound. Born 7/1/2018. A greyhound lurcher. He has a slight roman nose. Very friendly, tag wagging, social boy. Can still see currently, but eyes are dilated and red. He has retinal degeneration (Progressive Retinal Atrophy). On the humorous side, we learned that Patches likes egg on his kibble from time to time as a treat! (But that is not a requirement to adopt!) He was successfully treated for Lyme disease. We think Patches would do very well as an only-dog, but should do well with another large easy going hound. He has not been cat tested. Patches needs a fenced in yard. He is neutered and Heartworm negative.
