Meet Patch
Patch has the temperament of an ideal puppy - playful, affectionate, and silly. You will absolutely fall in love with his relaxed personality and cheerful demeanor.
Patch, and his sister Pumpkin, came to NALA Rescue covered in fleas, filled with worms, and very new to the lifestyle of an indoor pet. These babies and the rest of their litter are the predictable result of an Oklahoma household with multiple unfixed adult dogs and limited veterinary access. Mama is a boxer pitty mix and dad is a Pyrenees mix. We have a hunch that to arriving to NALA Rescue, Patch had never seen a dog toy.
Fast forward a few weeks and Patch is living his best life. He is absolutely infatuated by plushes, squeaker toys, and chews, and he will graciously play with them for quite a while. He happily wears harnesses and clothes, loves blankets, and enjoys treats.
Patch learns quickly and is incredibly food motivated. He already knows how to sit on command, and he’s working hard on potty training. Patch sleeps through the night in his crate, but he takes any opportunity to snuggle on the couch. He’s pretty mellow, and he likes to keep himself busy with toys. He walks well on a leash. He’s gentle and takes redirection very well from both human and canine friends. The right home for Patch will have patience and consistency as he continues to master his manners.
Patch was born in late June, and is about 25-30lbs with plenty of potential to grow much bigger. He has been an absolute doll to other dogs both in his foster home and at the Omaha Dog Bar. Patch adores all of the kitties he has met, both to cuddle and to play with. Patch can be nervous around little kids as they are unpredictable, but he is learning to trust them.
Your adoption includes veterinary care with fecal testing, blood testing, vaccinations, treatment for parasites, spay/neuter, examination, and more.
