Meet Pancake Mama - a just over 1 year old, Chihuahua mix, who weighs approximately 23 pounds (as of 8/19/24). Pancake Mama was surrendered to us by her previous owner once she became pregnant. She was a great mama to her 6 pups (Flapjack, Big Apple, Silver Dollar, Crepe Suzette, Maple Syrup and Waffle) but is now ready to find her own forever family!

This little lady has clearly lived in a house and has been someone's pet, as she is very comfortable, quiet and well-behaved indoors. She is a great companion dog, and loves just being near her humans. She is working on her leash manners. She LOVES going on car rides and enjoys road trips. She is house broken and crate trained. She is incredibly sweet and devoted to her humans. She is great with other dogs and also has been exposed to cats! She is a little shy upon meeting but with a proper introduction she is good with people of all ages, but may be better with kids over 8.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
