Introducing our newest pup, Otis!

Otis just got to the shelter today and is learning that humans give the best attention! He was recently dumped with his littermates at a rural residence. We intended to take in Otis along with one of his siblings, but Otis was scared from the storms and ran off. He couldn't be found for a few days and we were SO worried, but he was finally found and we immediately took him into our care! We think Otis is a pointer mix. He currently weighs 36 pounds, and is estimated to be about 6 months old. Otis is timid, but very quickly warms up to you! Once he trusts you, he'll gently jump up, put his paws on your shoulders as if he's hugging you, and just stare into your eyes. He's never been in a home or on a leash, but seems easily trainable!

Applicants must have a secure visible fence no less than 4-6 feet high.

Applicants will be screened, including a home check. If you would like to meet Otis, apply at dirksfund.com. All members of the household, including other dogs, must come to meet him before finalizing the adoption. Other dogs in the home must be current on vaccinations and altered.

Adoption hours are 10-2 Saturdays and Sundays. Pacific, MO.
