Meet Oskar, a Heart of Gold Looking for His Forever Home

Hello, future family! My name is Oskar, and I'm a charming gentleman about seven years old. My journey to find my forever home has been quite the adventurerescued from a high-kill shelter after being brought in as a stray in sunny California, I've made my way up to the beautiful state of Washington, bringing smiles and joy to everyone I meet.

One look into my soulful eyes, and you'll see a world of love and loyalty waiting for you. I'm a cuddle enthusiast, always ready to snuggle up and share warm hugs. My friends say I have a heart even bigger than my smile, and I can't wait to share all my love with my new family.

I know "sit" and "stay," but I could learn even more. Even though I'm very motivated by food, I take my treats with the utmost gentleness. I'm well-mannered on a leash and enjoy strolls around the neighborhood (as long as I can take a snooze afterward).

While I've made friends with the resident dog in my foster home, playing politely and showing my silly side, it's no secret that I'm a people dog at heart. I cherish every moment spent in the company of my human friends. I would love to nap beside a human who works from home or can take me to work with them. I get nervous when left alone in the yard and can easily jump 6-foot fences, which is likely how I ended up on the streets in the first place.

My foster family thinks I might be a Dutch Shepherd or German Shepherd mix and with my striking looks and intelligent gaze, who could argue? But to be sure, we've sent off a DNA test to discover my unique heritage. Whatever the results, I know my pedigree is a 100% lover.

I'm looking for a home where I can be showered with affection, play with stuffed squeaky toys to my heart's content, and settle into a life of companionship and mutual adoration. Look no further if you're looking for a loyal friend, loving companion, and cuddle buddy.
