Oscar Rat Terrier & Fox Terrier Mix Austin, TX

Oscar is an adorable Rat Terrier mix who is approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 14 pounds. He came to our rescue from a pretty stressful environment where there were 70 dogs all living in a small home together.

Oscar is a tenderhearted little guy, who does need a warming up period to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Coming from the home he was in, he was not handled very much, so he is still learning that one on one attention is a pretty wonderful thing. Once he settles in and learns to trust, his sweet personality will start to shine through. He has bonded with the rescue staff. He does get along well with the other smaller dogs in his playgroup and is crate trained for his meals and sleeping.

Oscar is looking for a patient family who understands his background and can give him the loving home he deserves. He would do best in a quiet home without young children where his family can spend lots of time with him and let him get acclimated at his own pace.. He enjoys having a routine and thrives with a regular schedule where he knows what to expect from his day. Once he bonds with his person, he is a loving and devoted companion.

Oscar is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application.
