Opie is a 6-month old Lab mix with a gentle and quiet personality. He is friendly and affectionate and loves to relax on the couch. He enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well and plays well with others. Opie is naturally well-mannered. He does not jump up on you or run up and knock you down, even though he is only 6 months old. He is a healthy dog and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He is a hopeful dog and is waiting for the perfect family to come along and give him a forever home. He has had 3 Distemper Parvo shots and is on a heartworm preventative that also eliminates internal parasites. (Credelio) He has received his rabies vaccination and a health certificate for transport.

His $75 transport fee is due up front to secure his transport and delivery from our rescue in Texarkana, Texas to any of the 5 locations on our transport route for July 9th, 2024. His $150 adoption fee is due when you pick him up. If you are unable to pick up on July 9th, you may designate someone else to pick him/her up for you or you could choose to board him/her for a day or two at Crossroads Boarding and Grooming in Urbana, Illinois. We have had several adoptive parents choose the boarding option and we have all been very pleased with their care and attentiveness at Crossroads.
