Opie is a sweetheart who recently finished his heart worm treatment! He is a very happy boy who is looking for a family to call his own! He loves to play with his toys, and other dogs and is very loyal to his humans. Opie is crate trained and house trained, and easy to get along with. He takes a minute to warn up to new people, but once he knows you, he will give you all his heart. Come meet this cutie and get a best friend for life!

Applications are not required prior to viewing our animals but must be completed prior to moving forward with an adoption.
All of our adoption fees are currently waived!
Animals adopted out are vaccinated for rabies and other common diseases, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have received heartworm and flea prevention while at the shelter. Dogs are tested for heartworm disease and cats for feline leukemia and FIV. All Sumter County residents will receive a free County tag for their new pet!
