And now a few words from me: Boy, could I tell you a lot of stories about my past but they are not too nice so I decided to concentrate on where I am going, not where I came from.
Hi, my name is Ollie and I’m one of the luckiest little boys to have been rescued from a horrible puppy mill and now, to be looking forward to a brand new life full of something called love. I have already learned so many different things; how nicely my foster parents and other humans treat me, I have good food and fresh water every day – can you believe it? And now I am allowed to sleep in any of the nice soft doggie beds and even on the couch sometimes instead of a wire cage I lived in for so many years. I was so scared when I first arrived having travelled 2 full days to get to my new place. I didn’t understand that all these people were kind and caring and just wanted to help get me to a safe place.
My foster parents have been very patient and have let me move forward at my own pace and when I was ready. I now follow my foster brother around and sleep with him or one of my foster sisters. I am still a little scared of loud noises and sudden movements and I don’t always go to my foster parents when they call me so they have to come and get me. I am still a little nervous when I’m picked up but soon relax when I remember that no one is going to hurt me anymore. Slowly I am starting to understand that all people aren’t  bad and I’m working really hard to overcome all my fears. I’ve had all my shots, I’m on my heart worm prevention, I was neutered and had my dental work done so I must say I’m in great shape now.
What I am looking for in a new forever home is fairly basic. I just want to be loved and promise I will love you back with all my heart. My foster mom and dad keep saying that they are going to find me the very best home and that I will make someone very happy being their special little pet. I can’t wait!
****************************************
And now a few words from my foster mom: Ollie has been with us 5 weeks as of July 9th. He arrived a scared little guy and spent most of the first week in his crate other than us taking him outside with the other dogs. Although the door was always open, he just felt comfortable in it and would run back in as soon as we brought him in from outside. Now, he is never in his crate unless we go out and put him in it while we are away. He has attached himself to our little Yorkie Peanut and follows him everywhere. We are working on the house training and although he doesn’t ask to go out, he does follow the other dogs in and out and we keep on a schedule which really helps. He is still afraid of the leash and won’t move when it’s put on but we are working on that issue also.
Being a Yorkie-poo, he will not shed so would make a great pet for someone with allergies to pet dander. He is a beautiful silver color with the darker face and ears. We call him our little lamb.
Ollie still has a ways to go with the trust issue but is making progress daily. He is such a sweet, gentle little boy and has never growled, snapped or shown his teeth while being handled. He has never displayed any aggression what so ever towards adults, children or other animals. You won’t find a better little companion anywhere. Please watch for updates on Ollie as he will soon be ready for his forever home.
