Meet Odin

If you look up "handsome" in the dictionary, you'll see Odin's picture. He is a long-legged, athletic dog with a stunning silver coat.
At only 3 years old, Odin has already lived many different lives. When we first met him, he was at the Skokie Police Department, where he ended up after living with an owner who was homeless. An officer at the police department decided to foster him, and he spent 2 months with her training and preparing for an adoptive home, and he was eventually adopted.
We were sad when Odin's adopter's living situation change, and Odin found himself homeless once again. His previous foster stepped up and he's back in her foster home, where he is doing great! Odin lives with large and small dogs. He lived with a cat happily in his previous home as well.
His foster mom says he is housebroken and crate-trained, and stays in his crate while she works 9 hour days.
Odin is a very energetic dog who sometimes needs reminders on how to contain his excitement. He can be so happy to see you, he does try to jump up, but he settles down with reminders. He LOVES to play ball, it's one of his favorite things. He will chase the ball and always bring it back to you, then drop it right at your feet for you to throw it away. His foster mom has taught him the "drop" command and many others, she has done a lot of obedience training with him, which he loves to do.
Here is what his foster mom has to say about him: " Odin will warm your heart with his soulful eyes. He LOVES to play fetch and needs to be bribed to let the ball go when he is done. He loves stuff toys but nothing lasts longer than a minute so nylabones, bull horns and marrow bones are a must. He enjoys walks and short jogs. He is obedience trained and loves to cuddle. He can be a blanket hog. He can be a bit of dog for some. He deserves a lot of love and tons of patience for car rides."
We love Odin and know he deserves a stable, loving, forever home, and we hope you will consider making him yours!
Odin's adoption fee is $250. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
