7-15-24: HI EVERYONE, OAKLEY here, and I am going to tell you all about me! I have been with this rescue since Mar 2024, but Petfinder had some technical issues, and deleted all my information, so here we again!
I came to this rescue from the local Animal Control, where while there, I was adopted 2 times, and they brought me back those 2 times. Seems they wanted a ready made dog, and were not willing to help bring my best out, only keeping me for a very short time! The shelter put a plea out, so here I am! Now, I am getting better, BUT, I need an owner who is PATIENT and UNDERSTANDING. One who will help me become the best I can be! I will need a FENCED YARD--NO EXCEPTIONS, as Mom says I am a flight risk at this time. I APPEAR to be a Beagle mix, am 32 pounds, neutered, chipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly heartworm prevention. I am 1 year old, and I would really like my life to settle, and be with people who love me. I do great with the other dogs, smaller and my size, as I do love to run and play! My house and crate manners are perfect! I would prefer a home with older respectable children, as loud noises frighten me. I do great in my crate, am really quiet, but I do love a good couch! I am doing so much better and have almost mastered my leash manners without being so scared. I wish I could relate to my Foster Mom, what I endured in my short life, but I can show her, I'm trying my best!
