Nymeria Husky & Australian Shepherd Mix Hays, KS

**Note: Nymeria is considered special needs. She is deaf; due to this, she is a manager-approval only adoption, meaning any potential adopters will need to speak to management about her condition and what kind of care she will need before an adoption can be completed. These adoptions can only happen Tuesday-Friday from 1-4 PM. She is still available to meet on the weekends, but an adoption cannot be finalized until a manager is present.**

Meet one of the sweetest and most adorable puppies in town! Nymeria is 3 month old female Husky/Australian Shepherd mix. She was surrendered to us alongside her mother (Trudy, who has her own listing here on our Petfinder!) when their owners could not afford to take care of them any longer. Unfortunately, since their owners could not afford their care, Nymeria came in pretty thin and will need some TLC before being in top shape. Despite her less-than-ideal beginnings though, she acts pretty much like your typical puppy! She is energetic and very playful, and falls in love with everyone she meets.
Nymeria lived in an outdoor pen most of her life before coming to the shelter, but she's still young enough to be easily trainable to indoor life. She isn't housebroken yet and has not received any obedience training, so like with any puppy, her future owners will need to be willing to dedicate some time and patience towards her behavior. Nymeria is also small for her age, likely due to her past, but with proper attention she is putting on weight and looking so much better!
Nymeria has been around children, cats, and other dogs, and did great with all of them. Like most puppies, she adores children that can give her lots of attention; however, due to her small size, the children will need to be supervised to ensure they don't accidentally hurt the puppy. With cats, she is very curious and often tries to get them to play. We can always do a meet and greet with any pets or children in the home, just to ensure this puppy would be the right fit for your family.
