Meet Nutmeg
Sweet Nutmeg came to the shelter injured and in need of medical care, you can see her story on our Facebook page. She is a loving dog with a zest for life and ready to be someone's best friend. Nutmeg is not a fan of felines and would do best with older children. Nutmeg weighs 50 pounds.
Nutmeg went out with our Wandering Rovers and they said: We took Nutmeg to Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, had a Pup Cup at Red Cup Cafe, went home and played in fenced in backyard and rested. Finally did a walk by the river near the shelter.
She loved it all!
Nutmeg is a sweet girl, she was very exited to do anything! She would sit, lay and sometimes stay for treats. She really enjoyed playing with a ball. Did well when we met people or dogs.
Another Wandering Rover said: We went for a long walk, then we went home and she later down a little before we went for another walk. We took her to the pet store to get photos with Santa!
Another Rover said: - walked at Langers Riverfront park
- car ride with windows open to Edmonds beach area
- walked around the beachfront and boardwalk areas in Edmonds
- Stopped at Edmonds Starbucks for pup cup and water
- Walked around Harbor view park in Mukilteo
She saw/heard dogs across the street who barked at her, and she perked her ears up and stared but did not react at all. She tugs a bit on the leash in excitement, but nothing too unmanageable. Overall an extremely sweet and good tempered dog who enjoys all people and places.
Another Rover said: Walked Langus Park Trail, took her by car to our house, she ran and chased balls in our backyard free of leash, then we walked to the waterfront for lunch at a brewery and walked the waterfront some more and then walked back to our house, more backyard running, and then returned her to the shelter. We lost our precious dog two months ago, and the joy we felt today providing Nutmeg with an outing was what we needed. She is a joy, we all bonded, and what a sweetheart and snuggler she is. She pulls hard on the leash though - lots of energy.
Another Rover said: Nutmeg and I took a nice long hike out at the Pilchuck Tree Farm, then had some play and relaxing time at home. She is a high energy girl, very playful and affectionate, and loved getting out into the woods. She was perfect in the car both there and back. Though she pulls when on the leash, she is smart and attentive, so I have no doubt this could be improved with only a little patience. What a gorgeous girl!
Nutmeg went on another Wandering Rover this weekend and they reported: We drove to the North Creek Trail and went for a walk on the nature trail then walked around the shopping center visiting the pet store for a treat. She did great in the car and on the leash after she got her initial energy out. She checked in with us often and loved meeting people throughout our walk. Such a sweet girl!
Rovers keep saying how great Nutmeg is "She's a really great dog. ?"....come meet this dog!!
