Meet Nova
Nova is a 5-year-old girl that was released from a life of commercial breeding, now she gets to be just a loved pet. She has had a back issue at one time in her life, probably from delivery of puppies twice a year for years. She has no pain, nothing to treat, but on x ray has a little area of narrowing. It gives her a little "wonky walk" we like to call it but does not slow her down one bit. Because of this nerve damage, she is going to need a home with some extra Lovin n care. Also, when she gets excited, she piddles and forget her potty skills sometimes. We are working on it, but it could be a little permanent issue. Although, she is from a mill, and it may improve over time. She is super good with people, dogs, and cats and would be a terrific addition to any loving home. If that is you, let us know.
All our dogs are current on vaccinations which include Rabies and Distemper/Parvo, they are spayed and or neutered, have been fecal tested and heartworm tested, and had a dental cleaning if necessary. They are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative as needed in rescue. They all will have a microchip that will be registered in the adopter's name and is good for a lifetime with no additional fees.
The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home inspection, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for all our dogs is $300.
We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs do not require a fence, if they can walk well on harness and leash. Decided by what is best for each dog individually.)
We are willing to adopt out-of-state applicants, but you must travel to the foster home location of your dog which is in Omaha or within a 90-minute drive from the Omaha area to meet and travel home with your dog. We do not transport or ship dogs.
If you are interested in adding this beautiful baby to your loving family, please visit our website and fill out an adoption application at http://www.nebraskadachshundrescue.org/adoptapp.htm
