Meet North

Male, 1 year old, 42 lbs

Meet North -- a sweet dog with the most beautiful baby blue eyes! Rescued from the euthanasia list, this affectionate boy loves to be near his humans, giving and receiving all the love you could ever hope for.

He is especially a fan of walks and is great on his leash. Once you've had your stroll together, he'll happily snooze on his bed or, even better, next to his human by the couch.

This charming boy is also very smart: North has already learned sit and shake! He's making progress on his crate training, settling down pretty quickly and sleeping in it while he's alone. Now that North is in a safe space, he has begun to learn about how much fun toys can be.

North does great with other dogs, playing with his older canine foster brother and stopping to give him space when needed. This goofy boy is ready for his forever home -- apply today to meet North!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.

Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
