Meet Noodle

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

**Please read Noodle's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!**

This tiny bundle of love is Noodle - a 3 year old, 7 1/2 pound, Yorkshire terrier mix gal who came into a county shelter in Georgia.

Her foster shares "Poor Noodle came into rescue a matted mess, and had a HUGE bladder stone that was making her go to the bathroom all the time. We think someone assumed they couldn't train her and just dumped her. And she was so terrified the poor thing, but who could blame her!

But after a small adjustment period I can't even believe that I can report that Noodle is the happiest, sweetest girl ever! She throws herself down for belly rubs and crawls into your arms the minute she has a chance. She’s a very jaunty girl once she’s comfortable. She’s an expert snuggler and craves attention and affection.

I would imagine when she first comes to New England she will be nervous all over again, and for that reason I don't recommend she is in a home with kids. It just might be too much for her initially (though I imagine once she is settled in a loving home that meeting kids in the future should be fine once she is established. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats so she could be your one and only to spoil rotten or add to your animal home. She really is the most lovely dog who is going to make a loyal and affectionate companion!"

Noodle's bladder stone was removed during surgery and all of her test results since then have been great. We do suggest feeding her a prescription urinary heath dog food to keep her in tip top shape.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
