Meet Nina

MY STORY:
Nina has so many wonderful qualities! She loves to lean in closely against people and sleeps cuddled right next to her foster mom in bed all night. Her favorite spot to rest during the day is perched on top of the back of the couch.
Nina barks if she sees something out of the ordinary but has not been barky in her foster home. Her foster family initially crated her when they were gone but eventually gave her free run of the house when she proved to be house trained.
Outside in her fenced yard she loves to snoop around, do zoomies and play wrestles and chases with her playful dog friends. She has displayed respect for the older dogs that do not wish to play. Occasionally she will dig a hole. She’s a busy girl.
On her way to the spa for her grooming Nina loved riding up front as co-pilot and she enjoys car rides. Her groomer reported she did well at her groom and she totally adored her! Nina was not fond of the blow dryer though!
Nina eats well and doesn’t bother the others when eating. She sure loves her cookie treat and does a beautiful sit for it when she comes in after chasing all the critters away that dare enter her yard. Birds and squirrels beware! Haha!
Nina is not a good mix for cats as she will chase them if they run just as she does the outside yard critters.
Nina is a smartie as she’s part Poodle and Border Collie and would excel at agility or any fun sport as she loves to think with her mind and keep busy. Nina is also a sensitive girl. She has learned to leave a treat be that was rolled to the blind dog in her foster home until he found it.
Nina was so loved by her foster mom and if she had room in her home she wishes she could keep her! That says a lot.
Although Nina has played well with her dog friends in her foster home we feel Nina’s best placement is as a single pet in the home. She deserves all the love!
At times Nina will bark when crated so multi family housing is not a good fit for Nina.
If you are looking for the most loving dog with smarts to boot consider our beautiful Nina! She’s ready to settle in and be your pride and joy. You will love her because everyone does! She’s a keeper. Thanks for considering a rescue dog!

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.
Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
