Dog Name: Nima
Breed: Welsh Corgi
Sex: Female (Spayed)
Age: 5-6 years old
Weight: 30 lbs/14 kg
Microchip Number: 90013-80005-65640
Nima's story: Nima was rescued from puppy mill in Taiwan. She was de-barked while in Taiwan, but is a loud panter and shows her affection with little grunts and butt wiggles! She’s extremely friendly to all people, kids, and dogs (unsure how she is with cats), and loves cuddling. Nima would sleep all day if you’d let her = she’s a low energy dog. She takes short, slow walks on leash.
Nima is house-trained and does her business outside. She needs to go out at least 4 times a day and is fairly regular with her peeing and pooping.
This relaxed and affectionate girl has not possessive problems (food, toys, people) and isn’t a chewer, although she loves her treats and will happily go to town on a chew bone.
Health: Up to date vaccination, has microchip, blood test all normal, dental cleaning done.
Hip x-ray shows Chronic Osteoarthritis of her left hip. Suggested management: weight control with precise food management, regular gentle exercise, and joint supplements. Hip surgery isn’t required.
We are looking for a very loving family that fits the following criteria:
1. Nima likes to hang out and play in a fenced yard, so only adopted to a family in a house with fenced yard.
2. Must be an experienced dog owner that won’t leave her alone for extended periods of time (less than 5 hours).
3. Family has no kids under 12 years old.
4. Must allow dogs on furniture.
5. You are committed to feeding her high-quality dog food.
6. Nima walks slowly on leash the you must be very patient with her.
7. You are committed to provide a forever loving home to Nima.
Adoption process:
1. Complete the adoption application form. **Please seriously consider your level of commitment before completing the adoption form. **
2. Phone interview.
3. Home check and meet up with Nima. Please note: after completing the adoption process, including a home check, we do not guarantee the dog you have applied for will be offered to you to adopt. We may require several home checks to find the best match, and our team of volunteers review all the information acquired in the process to help dogs and families find the best fit for each adoption.
4. If the adoption is approved, future follow-ups with Save A Life Society will be required.
