Our girl Night is in need of a patient and gentle person to take her home

Night had a rough start when she first came into our care. She was terrified being in a new environment with new people and also had never lived indoors before. It took a lot of work build trust at the start, but when we were finally able to break that barrier, she was sweeter than we could have ever imagined.

Since then, Night has flourished into the smiley, happy girl all the staff love. She has the most adorable wiggles around when seeing someone she knows.

Though Night doesn't take as long to warm up to new people, she is nervous at first and particularly standoffish with men. However, she is very food motivated and we use this to our advantage when she's meeting new people. She is a pretty easy walker and likes to trot loose on the leash beside you most of the time. But more often than not, she is focused on receiving affection from her walker. Night is also a big cuddler, so whoever takes her home better be ready to shower her with attention.

Night has been very social with most dogs and would likely enjoy being in a home with one. She has done awesome in the multiple visits she's had in our cat room, so she would likely do well in a home with cats with a slow, gradual introduction. She will need an adopter who has a good amount of dog experience and is knowledgeable of body language when working with nervous dogs.
