Face of gray, heart of gold. Im Nexus, an adorable senior and Im ready to spend my retirement with you. I came to High Country Humane because my owner had to go to assisted living and couldnt care for me anymore. I should tell you a bit about myself. I have some past trauma that my caretakers are trying to help me through so for now, I would prefer the company of adult women with a quiet lifestyle.

If I sound like your next pal, then come meet me! I want to show you how laid-back four-legged living is done. I have plenty of love left to give because love doesnt keep track of years. My favorite way to ask for love is to come up and lick your palm, I love neck and chest scritches! I love a good spay day, especially the naps and brushing! I'm not very treat or food motivated but I am potty trained and good on a leash. I've lived with dogs in the past and would like to meet any new friends you may have for me here before going home. Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We register that microchip (FREE!) and provide a free health exam with each adoption. Please bring a leash and collar for your new pet or plan to purchase a set at the shelter for $5 each. The shelter is open 11-5 PM, 7 days a week. We look forward to seeing you!
