Nevaeh- I love an adventure! Boxer Mix Manchester, NH

The name is Nevaeh, that’s heaven spelled backward because I am an earth angel. I have been at the shelter for a combination of 3 years due to no fault of mine. I was originally abandoned, tied up outside the shelter. I was completely emaciated; my white fur was yellow among other physical conditions. I may have been a mess on the outside, but I was and am just the sweetest girl you will ever meet! I just have the worst luck…

I thought I found my forever home a couple of years ago. Everything was going great! It was just me and my dad for almost a year. But then he met a girl with dogs of her own. I don’t get along with other pups. So, he decided they were more important and sent me packing. I was so confused. What did I do? Was I a bad girl? Back to the shelter I went, where I sit to this day still waiting for someone to love me as much as I love them.

I am a shelter favorite. EVERYONE loves me. I need a minute to warm up to strangers, but once I know you, I love you. I welcome visitors in my kennel. I will make sure to kiss every inch of your face and I will paw you for pets. If you stop petting, I will keep pawing until you give in. I love to love, and I have so much to offer.

Yes, I am older than some of the other dogs here. Biologically I am 10, but mentally I’m a young sprout! Don’t believe me? Ask the volunteers! I am lucky enough to get outings with one of my favorite volunteers. When I am with him, I am living my best life! We go boating, off-roading, swimming, tubing… pretty much anything outdoors. I have no problems keeping up either. In fact, I keep them on their toes!

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good snooze. I dream about having a couch to curl up on… okay, I mean, to sprawl out on… I would even share the couch with someone. I may be 70 pounds, but I love a good lap to try and squeeze in. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Everyone has been racking their brains as to why I am still here. No one even asks to look at me! I do need to be your only pet and no children please. But, that’s it! You mean to tell me that there is no one out there for me?! How can such a beautiful, friendly, loving dog continue to sit here day after day?

I am hopeful, as always, that this is my year. I know I will finally get what I so desperately deserve. I will continue to be the positive, sweetheart everyone knows and loves because my happily ever after is out there.


Adoption fee is based on age:
Puppies 8 weeks to 6 months are $350
Dogs 7 months to 7 years are $275
Senior dogs over 8 years are $100
Senior for Seniors (Seniors 65+ adopting over 7 years): $50

All adoptable dogs are spayed and neutered, have age and time appropriate vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested. Other medical care provided might include treatments for fleas, ear mites, dental work or infections or other medical conditions. Additional vaccinations and medical care (including puppies Rabies shots if adopted at under 12 weeks of age) will be the responsibility of the adopter.

We do not do same day adoptions

Adoption hours:
Saturday: 10-4
Sunday: 12-3
Monday and Friday: 12-4
Tuesday and Thursday: 12-7pm

Note: As with all of our dogs, we strongly recommend obedience classes for new owner and dog to create a life-long bond with the adopted dog based on trust, respect, and rewarding training experiences. Our shelter dogs are strays and we observe and assess their behavior at the shelter which may be somewhat different in a home environment.
